About The Shortlist
The Shortlist is our members-only subscription club for bourbon lovers who want exclusive access to rare, one-of-a-kind bottles from Shortbarrel. Think private barrels, small-batch blends, and experimental finishes—shipped (or picked up) straight from the source.
A little of both. You’re joining a private club that guarantees you either 2 or 4 exclusive bottles per year, depending on your tier. These aren’t random bottles—they’re handcrafted releases made only for Shortlisters.

Membership Details
There are three plans:
Each membership is valid for 365 days from the date you join.
Nope. We’ll send you a heads-up before your year is up so you can renew if you’d like.
Not under normal circumstances. Allocations are carefully planned in advance. You’ll need to wait until your membership term ends to change tiers. That said, if something serious comes up (not just FOMO), email us at sales@shortbarrelbourbon.com and we’ll try to help.
No, we don’t offer pauses. You can always rejoin or change tiers at the end of your term.
Memberships are non-refundable. But we’ll keep you informed on what’s coming, and we think you’ll be glad you stayed in.
Yes! But depending on when you join, you may need to wait for the next release cycle to receive your first bottle.
Bottles & Delivery
We’ll send you an email when your bottle is ready—either with tracking info (for shipping) or pickup instructions (for local).
You’ll be added to the current release cycle. Your first bottle will ship or be ready for pickup with the next drop.
Yes—Bottle Nexus will send you an email when your bottle ships. Check your spam or promo folders if you don’t see it.
You have two options:

Yes. Alcohol shipments require an adult (21+) with valid ID to sign for delivery. Federal law.

Local Pickup (Signature Local Only)
You have 90 days from the time we send your pickup email. After that, unclaimed bottles may be forfeited or released.
Yes, but they must be 21+ with a valid ID, and they must bring a copy of your pickup email confirmation.
Yes! Signature members get 48-hour early access to designated limited releases and Starter members get 24 hour early access before the public. These are separate from your included bottles and are first-come, first-served.
You’re always guaranteed the 2 or 4 core bottles in your membership.
For designated limited drops, it’s first-come, first-served—but you’ll get a 48-hour head start over everyone else if you’re Signature and 24-hour if you’re Starter.
Only core membership bottles are guaranteed. Extra releases sell out fast. Be sure to check your email and act quickly when drops go live.
