This release begins with a deliberate rye foundation before any finishing decisions were made.

The blend is built from four distinct 95/5 rye whiskeys, each selected for structure, spice, and texture. The intent from the outset was balance, ensuring the rye character leads, with the finish acting as an accent rather than a mask.

Approximately 40% of the blend is composed of 10+ year-old rye, providing mid-palate weight, concentration, and a firm structural backbone. Younger components add lift, brightness, and aromatic precision.

Only after the rye profile was finalized did we introduce finishing barrels sourced from Hungary’s historic Tokaji wine region, known for producing intensely flavored dessert wines with layered fruit and subtle honey characteristics.

The Tokaji casks are used not to sweeten or soften the whiskey, but to lift and extend it, adding nuance without compromising rye’s grain-forward identity.
