Built Before the Barrel. Refined by It.
Our Double Oak Series starts with intention—not finishing. Every release is built through blending first, then refined through a second maturation in new oak. The goal isn’t to cover flaws—it’s to amplify what’s already working.

Structure. Sweetness. Depth.
Our Double Oak Bourbon begins with a blend of straight bourbons selected for balance—typically bringing together traditional and high-rye mashbills to create a layered base.
Before it ever sees a second barrel, the blend already works:
From there, it moves into new Kelvin barrels with varying char levels. This second maturation deepens texture, integrates sweetness, and builds a longer, more expressive finish.
What you get:
A bourbon that leans into richness and structure—without losing clarity.
Precision. Spice. Control.
Rye is naturally more angular—spice-driven, herbal, and sharp. That’s exactly why we double oak it.
We start by blending multiple rye whiskey components to dial in:
Then we use the second barrel to round the edges—not mute them. The oak adds body and integration, turning sharpness into structure.
What you get:
A rye that keeps its edge—but gains depth, texture, and balance.
Where It All Comes Together.
This is where things get interesting.
By blending bourbon and rye together before double oaking, we’re not just combining flavors—we’re building a new structure entirely.
Then the second oak treatment integrates everything into a single, cohesive profile.
This isn’t bourbon.
This isn’t rye.
This is something built in between—on purpose.
What you get:
A whiskey with contrast and cohesion—sweetness, spice, and oak working together instead of competing.
Most finishing is reactive.
This is intentional.
We:
That second barrel isn’t there to change the whiskey.
It’s there to complete it.
This isn’t about categories.
It’s about construction.
Three expressions.
Three approaches.
One philosophy:
Build it right first. Then let the oak make it better.
Recognized at the Highest Level
At the WSWA Tasting Competition, our Double Oak stood above everything else on the table—earning:
Judged blind against some of the most established names in whiskey, this wasn’t about brand recognition—it was about what was in the glass.
This award validates what we’ve believed from the start:
When you build the blend first and use oak to refine—not fix—you get something that stands apart.
Deep and expressive. Toasted oak, caramelized sugar, and vanilla bean lead, followed by baking spice, cocoa powder, and hints of charred wood.
Full-bodied and structured. Layers of toasted oak, brown sugar, and vanilla unfold alongside baking spice, dark caramel, and subtle dry tannin. Oak presence is assertive but measured, supporting the bourbon’s core rather than overwhelming it.
Long and warming. Charred oak and baking spice linger with notes of toffee, vanilla, and dry cocoa. The finish remains balanced, with structure carrying through to a clean close.
