A MGP-distilled bourbon and Kentucky-distilled bourbon aged in toasted maple syrup barrels

Sasquatch Maple Cask Bourbon is built to express maple through wood contact and barrel aging, not infusion or flavoring.
Every batch begins with a maple sugar–driven bourbon, which always forms the base of Sasquatch. That base is developed through extended contact with medium-toast sugar maple spirals, allowing the bourbon to draw out natural maple-wood aromatics, toasted sugar notes, and structure through controlled oak interaction rather than added sweetness.
From there, the batch is built out with a blend of MGP-distilled bourbon and Kentucky-distilled bourbon, selected for balance, backbone, and the ability to integrate additional wood influence without losing definition. Maple character is further developed exclusively through aging in ex-maple syrup barrels, never through added sugars, syrups, or artificial processes.
Those ex-maple syrup barrels are custom-toasted barrels built to our specifications, designed to emphasize warmth, integration, and restraint—allowing residual maple character from the barrel’s previous use to complement the bourbon rather than dominate it.
Because this process relies on wood type, toast level, barrel history, and blending decisions, each batch naturally varies. Proof, sweetness, and intensity shift slightly depending on barrel selection and aging duration. The objective is consistency in philosophy, not uniformity in outcome: maple as a structural accent layered into the bourbon through time and wood.
Warm and composed. Seasoned oak and toasted maple wood lead, followed by vanilla, caramelized brown sugar, and hints of rye bread crust.
Medium-to-full bodied with layered structure. Oak-driven maple character integrates with vanilla, butterscotch, and baked spice. Sweetness remains controlled and secondary to grain, wood, and balance.
Long and steady. Maple-touched oak and baking spice linger alongside soft caramel and dry wood tannin. The finish closes clean, warm, and structured—never syrupy.
